Week4

Hello! Fall semester has already began!!

I was reading a original version of Jane Eyre but its so hard to read through so I've changed the book to..

"How Starbucks Saved My Life"



Why did you choose it?

well, everyone knows Starbucks and most of people have been there at least once.  And the title of this book is interesting because Starbucks saved someone's life! :)

I god it this Wendnesday  so i couldn't read a lot but I'll write down a little bit the begging of the story.

One of the main character and also the author, Michael Gates Gill used to be a kind of winner in life. He was born and grew up rich, wealthy family.  After his
commencement at Yale, he got a job soon from famous and biggest advertisement company. Mainly he had been working with Dior, Ford... He was satisfied with it even though he sacrificed a lot from his family.

One day, his one of colleagues, Linda asked him to have a breakfast.

Linda: " We have to let you go,
             Michael."

Anyway im just reading at Starbucks. lol

Week15!!!!

As Carrie leaves for New York for the summer program, she loses her money and address of the program, and must call the only person's number she has- Donna's cousin. The story ends with Carrie calling and saying "Hello, is this Samantha Jones?"


I'd like to watch it on tv!!

Week14

    As senior year ends, Carrie becomes happier. She gets into the summer writing program after reapplying. She makes up with George. As graduation approaches, she decides to leave the past behind her and make up with everyone, including Lali and Sebastian. Lali tells her they broke up after she caught him kissing her sister. Carrie laughs and comes to the revelation that no one can hurt you anymore if you forgave them.

Week 13

   The next few weeks are an emotional roller coaster for Carrie. Having to deal with the loss of both Sebastian and Lali, she hates herself for not doing something sooner. She also finds out it was Lali playing a lot of the pranks and not Donna LaDonna. Carrie focuses on other aspects of her life, like getting into Brown and writing for the paper. She gets into Brown and decides to not care about high school anymore, and decides to go out on a limb and write pieces for the newspaper, targeting students and exposing them. She also takes a photography class to distract herself from her drama. But she finds more drama when Donna LaDonna is forced to be her partner. She tells Carrie she hates her not for stealing Sebastian, but because she's a snob. Carrie is stunned by this and realizes Donna might not be so bad. They eventually becomes friends and Donna says she should meet her cousin in New York.

Week 12

   A few weeks later, all attend a concert. Carrie forgave Sebastian but was still suspicious of Lali and him. While having fun at the concert, Carrie gets on stage much to the dislike of Sebastian. Carrie leaves shortly after due to curfew but Lali and Sebastian stay. Feeling guilty and wanting to apologize about getting on stage, she goes back in to find him. Carrie think he might have left but sees him kissing Lali. Again, Carrie is furious and yells at them. Lali tells Carrie they've been dating for a while and Carrie is both mad and sorry for what happened.

Week 11

   Carrie gets really angry. Sebastian clearly sees nothing wrong and this only infuriates Carrie more. All her friends support her and ask if they're gonna break up. Carrie cannot answer this but Lali tells her she'll take care of it.

I can't wait next chapter.

Week 10

The next weekend, a dance takes place and everyone goes. The Mouse brings her boyfriend Danny, Maggie and Peter go, and Carrie and Sebastian go. At the dance, Carrie can't stop thinking about Lali and Sebastian, but soon sees Sebastian with another girl-Donna LaDonna....

I don't enough time to read.

Already stressed from her straining relationship with Sebastian and no longer relationship with George, Carrie doesn't do so well at her swim meet. She blows it off, and after goes to change back into her clothes but cannot find them anywhere. She tells Lali and Sebastian who were with her, about Donna taking her clothes. They just laugh. This angers Carrie and at home she vents to her sister how she can't stand how Lali and Sebastian are such great friends. She vents how she can't go out with Sebastian anymore without Lali tagging along, and how she hates how Donna LaDonna won't leave her alone and stop playing all these pranks on her. Her sister's only response is how Lali is trying to steal Sebastian away and Carrie finally admits to herself that this might be happening in front of her own eyes.

Week8

Hello everyone!

It's been quite long time....



George is deeply hurt and tells Carrie how he knows Sebastian and his dark ways. He tells her to watch out for him and to call him when he breaks up with her. This angers Carrie and she says goodbye, hoping to never see George again.

this is Week 7's  ending story.

Week7

  As Carrie and Sebastian's relationship continues, it is getting storonger and weaker. They start disagreeing more often but startspending more and more time often.

However Lali gets closer to him.......


 As winter approaches, Carrie and George go skiing. She finds that he is very good friends with Sebastian's sisiter. And George finds finds out Carrie and Sebastian's relationship....
George hurt deeply.....

Week6

Hello :) how are you doing?


  Carrie's dream is to become a writer and live in the city- New York city. She used to be very norvous about her future. " im kind of jellyfish facing to the future." But now, she is very positive and confident.

 She begins to think about her experience at the same time. To increase her skills, she write a school news paper.


  Do you remenber Maggie? She is one of Carrie's friends and dating with peter after broke up with Walt. Maggie is still curious about Walt. However Walt lefft the town after break-up. so Maggie, Mouse and Carrie go to look for him.

  One day they face very shocking situation.

Walt was kissing with a guy.

Maggie becomes offended.

Week5

    Hello :)  how are you doing? i've been really busy this week. Everyone, Dont work too hard!!!!




    Last week i wrote that George was a key person. Yes, yes yes!! He asked Carrie to go out and kissed her. But she already has a boyfriend, Sebastian. So she tried to tell him but it was interrupted.

    Being with George is really comfortable for her. Because whenever she tells her problems or story, he always listens to her and supports her. This makes more difficult to break up with him.
And she likes writing. He promised that he would help her to get into the summer writing program whch was held in New York.

     She made up her mind to follow her dream even no one encourages her.

     " I want to live in the city and i want to visit George. I suddenly want my future to begin."

   

Week4

    Hello guys! How are you doing? :)
I am really enjoyng reading !!!! i cant stop imagining how she's going to be. ;-)

  
   Last week i wrote that Donna LaDonna was Sebastian's girlfriend. Carrie heard this at school but he doesn't say anything about that.

  One day Carrie went interview. She met George Carter, a current student from New York City. He is going to be key person.  Because he is immediately smitten with her and surprisingly she agrees when he asks her out.

 When she gets back to school, Maggie admids that she's dating with Peter. She's really shocked about it. Because Maggie and Walt were best friend for her. It sounds strange but they were doing everything together.

 




 

Week3

  A few days lator, Carrie and her friends went to bar. Maggie brings Peter even she has a boyfriend (Walt). And Walt doesn't seem to care or worry . At the same time, Carrie began to worry about  Sebastian. Because he and Donna LaDonna (Carrie doesn't like her) walked into bar together. When everyone started dancing, Carrie approached Sebastian and dancing with him.

 
  She used to have major two boyfriends- Doug and Duke. But each one was a disappointment. She is kind of snob when it comes to boys and she dosen't like the way of girl's behavior in the High School.


 " It scared me, trying to pretend i was something i wasn't. I could see how easily it could be down, and it made me realize that was what most of the other girls were doing as well- pretending. If you were a girl, you could start pretending in high school and go on pretending your whole life......"


  A few months lator, Carrie decided to paint on top of the old barm for graduation. While she wsa painting, suddenly Sebastian showed up. In this scene Sebastian confessed his feeling to her. He admired how she is different from other girls wich means she has mind of her own.  And he kissed her. He promised her that he'll call her.


  She was waiting his call for two weeks. Finally he came to see her and they went on date. She was very happy until hearing that his girlfriend is Donna LaDonna........


 

THE CARRIE DIARIES Week2

  I just started reading this book.

                                                        
                                                


 THE CARRIE DIARIES is written by Candace Bushnell. Do you know "Sex and the City"? and  Do you know "Carrie Bradshaw"? Actually this book follows during Carrie's senior year of high school in early 1980s and part of writer in New York. I've never seen Sex and the City so this is a good opportunity to start reading this series from the begin!!

 The main character of this book whose name is Carrie, she is 17 years old. Her father is a scientist and she has two younger sisters. And she also has four best friends; Lali, Jill( the Mouse), Moggie and Walt (Maggie's boyfrienfd).

  The story begins at their very first day of senior year. Carrie and Lali are expecting that this year is going to be special. Because they were supposed to have a boyfriend last year but they couldn't. So they made up their mind each other.

  There are many characters in the story. But Sebastian Kydd is different. I think he is a key person. He came to Caslteburry few years ago. Carrie's mother and his mother used to be friend. Their children knew each other. Especially when Carrie was young, she fell in love with him at first sight.
But he is asked going out with popular cheerleaders, Jen P and Jen S.

 

 

    Carrie is wandering about her future. Her father wants her to be scientist but she likes writing. So she wants to attend school for journalism. She applies a writing program secretly but she couldn't pass. And she also worries about if she is the only virgin in her group of friends. Because Mouse, who is smart girl, lost her virginity. She dosen't know how she is going to get through that year. She is really shocked about it.


  

Sunday, 21, April Self-Introduction--Risako Ono

    Hello! My name is Risako Ono. I'm from Kyoto in Japan and I live in the middle of city.
My life is ordinary. Sometimes I get bored because everyday is the SAME. But I'm enjoying every moment.

   Actually I have so many hobbies. Traveling foreign country, listening to music, watching movie, talking, eating and just walking....:) But I loove going to abroad. If you go to another country, you can find a lot of new things and meeting new people is really fun!! You can learn from them or each other a lot.

    This spring holiday I went to UK. I was staying in Norwich for one month. Norwich is east part of England. It's 2hour-ride from Norwich to London by bus. I think it's safer than London, very peaceful
place. Because my host father ( his name is Gerald) always said, " Norwich No Crazy People." Actually it's True. Threre are many lovely people. Especially my host family was Awesome!!! I felt more comfortable than Japan. I don't know why. And surprisingly Gerald is good at cooking! I never complained about his cook. I had a lovely lovely time there. Now I'm really interested in British English.

   I have foreign friends. They are exchange students at Doshisha University. I belong to DESA which is international circle activity. We usually go out with them and do a lot of things. For example, going to see Gionmasturi or climbing Mt. Daimonji. Having a fun time with them is very good for us to understand each other.

   My favorite movie is " P.S I Love You". I can't watch this without crying. I like every kind of movie. And my favorite singer is Taylor Swift, One Direction and Rita Ora. Recently I began to listen to K-Pop songs.
